There are 77 separate villages within the municipality and 9 districts in within the town of Burauen. For some, the only chance they may get to hear the gospel is through our ministry on the local radio. For others who are restricted through family pressure to attend a church outside their traditional religion the teaching we offer and the worship songs we air are a taste of being involved in a Christ centred church.
We currently air “God’s love radio broadcast” twice a week on Wednesday morning and prime time Sunday morning for half and hour and an hour respectively.
We have competitions where we give away T shirts and “goodies” donated by a local Christian bookshop in Tacloban city. People are encouraged to ring or text (SMS) their answers to questions related to the topic that week.

We always give a chance for people to receive Christ on air and it is amazing the response we have had from people in the community who confess to listening to the show while at work or in their homes.
This July 29th 30th we are having a town wide advertising campaign putting up posters in local bake shops chemists ( pharmacy ) and grocery stores announcing the program with a text number for people to contact who want to be mentioned on air. Local establishments that have our program playing during Sundays will also get a mention each week as we combine music and the word preached!
There is still room to expand the program and coverage with the purchase of updated equipment. We look to the Lord to use this powerful and dynamic arm of ministry to reach people with the gospel.
