Matt 5:16 “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven” NKJV

As Christians we have a responsibility to reach out to the community where we live and let them know of a Father in heaven who cares and has the ability to bring change through the gospel.

We have many opportunities to do so in Burauen with many families living below the national poverty level fighting to survive. Over eight million Filipinos have turned to living and working abroad to try to alleviate the situation, sending money home to support families and there are government agencies set up in the Philippines to help but in many cases people slip through the net unaware of what may be available to them and in desperate need.

Gal 2:10 “They desired only that we should remember the poor, the very thing which I also was eager to do.” NKJV

As a church we seek to be led by God on how to be effective in helping people in their suffering and connect them to Jesus Christ where they can know God personally and grow in a relationship with Him. We attempt always in our outreach to share the Word of God and encourage people of God’s promises in seeking Him and His kingdom. (Matt 6 verse 33.)

We also address challenges with alcohol abuse and gambling in the town through outreach to the youth and men in the community through sports. We work in conjunction with local government and have seen fruit to the glory of God running in the past an Alpha course just for football players.

Helping families with their education is a great way to bless children and touch the hearts of parents. The bottom line is that God really cares for people and this is an important and exciting part of what our church is about in Burauen. It also gives people a chance from around the world to
